A key element of PEPPER\u2019s governance, the Scientific Council warrants scientific rigour is maintained throughout PEPPER\u2019s operations and strategic orientations. The Scientific Council warrants ex post <\/em>that a candidate method to pre-validation has passed the required tests. It also ensures ex ante <\/em>that pre-validation protocols are robust, in particular in relation to the choice of \u201cpositive\u201d and \u201cnegative\u201d control substances used to test the methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work of the Scientific Council ensures the credibility of pre-validated methods, which will facilitate their further dissemination and recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Scientific Council provides a longer-term vision on the domains to investigate and the promising methodologies to follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Scientific Council is made of 12 members intuitu personae<\/em> coming in equal proportions from the following sectors: French academic research, other EU countries\u2019 academic research, private research organisations. The Scientific Council meets at least once every 6 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\r\n
