  • Training: Developing Validation Skills

To be successful in validation, you need a very precise set of skills, along with, in our case, a knowledge adapted to the specific of endocrine disruptors:

  • High-level organizational skills
  • Precision in execution
  • Critical thinking about the gaps that need to be addressed
  • Understanding of regulatory contexts
  • Ability to coordinate multi-laboratory studies

We need more professionals with such competences to be able to achieve validation of methods and accelerate the process to support policy and protect public health.

Building on our growing experience since 2019 in sponsoring and coordinating validation studies—including support for laboratories, engagement of data managers and statisticians, expert advice, and interactions with OECD, Pepper now offers on-site and online courses in validation project leadership.

Our training aims to equip professionals with the tools and skills needed to:

  • Lead validation projects
  • Manage laboratory coordination and data processes
  • Involvement of key experts for support
  • Understand OECD submissions, review procedures, and follow-up
  • Contribute to validation report writing and test guideline development

This tailor-made training supports the transition from scientific research to regulatory application.

Our first course was delivered in March 2025 to Dr. Sophie Rigal (BfR), with whom we now collaborate on specific projects.
Pepper continues to be supported by founding members and partners—including French ministries, European industrial partners, and organizations committed to accelerating method validation—and is reaching out to additional partners to expand its activities across NAM validation.
